White XMas

It was not a white XMas on XMas itself. But since we are in the midst of the twelve days of Christmas, today can count as such. We got a couple of centimeters of snow this morning and afternoon. I cleared off the front sidewalk, deck and car, but more snow covered them again.

The snow stopped by five o'clock, and I walked down to the library for an extraordinary meeting of the trustees at six to look over and approve the treasurer's report, now that our accountants have finished it. We have had this problem with every accounting house we contracted with. The accountants are used to casting accounts for businesses, and are not used to doing it for governments, which have different ways of doing accounts. Still, the current house is a lot better than the last one, whose relations with the board deteriorated over the years.

I walked through the town park's luminaria. Most of it looks pretty this year, but parts of it are dark. There is no electric current to them. The luminaria need to be fixed.

I mentioned that I got drapes for the windows. I tried one on the west window of the living room. It looks, um, different. I sent a photo of the windows to Madre. She is offering to come over this weekend and help me get the others up.
