Medical Clinic Visit

My lungs were hurting from the coughing from a cold from the weekend before last. I got little sleep due to the coughing. The last time that happened, back in late March, I visited the university Quick Clinic and got a perscription for Z-Pak. This time I would have to visit my physician, which means the Family Practice Clinic, to which I went on Friday.

I knew that the visit would take a while. But never did I realize that the visit would take most of the afternoon, and most of it in waiting (and dozing off) and in trying to find the outpatient wing of the hospital.

The doctor examined my chest, ordered an electrocardiogram and a chest X-ray at the hospital itself. There was nothing wrong that he could find, and the EKG and X-ray (which I got at the hospital) turned out normal.

I did get some potent cough syrup out of this. It is working really well to soothe my lungs and windpipe. I can work better Monday with my lungs not hurting so much.
