A Warm Day in January

That was a rush: I had to mop the floor in front of the sink because the drain has worked itself loose from the sink, letting water leak into the space underneath. Most of that water made it into the crawlspace, but some pour out onto the floor in front. I caulked around the drain, but I will have to look for a more permanent solution. I suspect the O-ring under the edge of the drain had decayed away, so I will have to find a new one. Meanwhile, I got a fan blowing the dry house air into the space under the sink to dry it out.

The day itself was busy. As it was warmer than the past few days, and than the bitter cold days ahead, I took the opportunity to visit Sam's Club. That was a thrill: The roads to and from Kokomo are barely plowed, so I had to drive more carefully.

Those bitter cold days to come have forced the postponement of the local library Friends and board meetings until the following week. That is good, because I need to buy a three-ring binder for the meeting minutes and other scrapes of the Friends Meeting.

I has not been this cold in a long time. I just hope it does not trash the car, but just in case I put in a full tank.

The massively snowy days just past kept me at home longer than I intended. I could not go to work on Thursday. I made it on Friday, and spent most of the day getting a couple of print job release stations to work with the new Windows 7 scheme.
