Europe: Enemy of Israel

After the fight with the ships to Gaza, it is time for Israel to admit to themselves, that:

Europe is their enemy.
Europe has always been their enemy. The very reason for Israel's existence is that Europe tried to destroy the Jews; and that the attitudes that propelled Europe to destroy the Jews are still very much alive.
Turkey is now their enemy.
Why the Turks are now so hostile to Israel, when in the past they were not, is something of a mystery. But maybe it is now time for Israel to call its ambassador and staff in Ankara home, and to tell the Turkish ambassador to go back to whence he came.

The Europeans had no excuse to invade Israeli waters (and, currently, the waters off Gaza are Israeli). To whine, as some stupid German whined, that It was like war. They had guns, Taser weapons, some type of teargas and other weaponry, compared to two-and-a-half wooden sticks we had between us. To talk of self-defence is ridiculous. It is not like a war. It is a war. Crossing into Israeli water with the intent of helping its enemy (and Hamas is Israel's enemy) is like invading the waters of North Korea: There will be a violent response.

Israel and the Arab lands surrounding it have been in a state of war since 1948. It is stupid to believe otherwise; and if that is what Europeans believe — that there is no war in the Levant — then the Europeans are truly stupid.

This is why the likely reaction of Israel to all this by the European Union is that Israel will sever its relations with Turkey and reduce its relations with the EU and its member states from ambassadorial to consular status. This, in turn, will cripple any effort of the EU to broker a peace in the Middle East, as Israel already regards the EU as hostile and dishonest.

Then there is Turkey, which had been friendly with Israel until a few years ago. The presence of Turks on board the invading flotilla; the sponsorship of the flotilla by a private Turkish organization; and the refusal to acknowledge Hamas as the enemy of Israel — these are proofs enough for Israel to consider forsaking Turkey as Turkey is forsaking Israel.

This is why the following is a joke:

We may plan to reduce our relations with Israel to a minimum, but to assume everything involving another country is stopped in an instant, to say we have crossed you out of our address book, is not the custom of our state.

And what if Israel decides otherwise? Turkey has proven to be as any other Muslim state for the past decade — its people irreconcilably hostile to the Jewish State. It is only in the past two years that the Turkish State has been expressing the will of the people.

the usa as divided ally

Israel also knows that, however weak a reed is the United States government with its antisemite president, its people mostly blame the pro-Hamas flotilla, not Israel, for the fight at sea that killed about a dozen pro-Hamasists. That, and its awareness that the world is as hostile to Jews as it has always been through human history, is why Israel is defiant of hostile world opinion.
