Swing music, that form of jazz suitable for bourgeois ears, is a major part of the lives of Rapture's citizens. It is played from loudspeakers, from jukeboxes and from phonographs. A lot of it had to be smuggled in, as noted in a tape from Peach Wilkins that did not make it into the game.
